Javier “Ché” Rivera is an award-winning international tattooer and multimedia visual artist from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ché is better known for his unique approach to Japanese and Traditional Americana styles for which he has received multiple first-place awards during his more than twenty years as a tattooer. Lately, he’s been internationally recognized for the incredible technique of pin-up that he’s using to push the boundaries of modern tattooing and tattooing as an art form. As a prolific artist outside of tattooing, his main subject is the human figure, the movement of the body, and the simplicity of the line. Mixing elements of erotism, flowers, BDSM, asana, and energy with his figure studies he has created a unique vision for his work. This allows his work to be translated as surreal work filled with incredible mystery yet simple to look at and digested by the observer.
